Software supports the march of LTE
Continuous Computing has confirmed that its recently updated Trillium Long Term Evolution software suite supports the latest 3GPP E-UTRA (LTE) specifications. The Trillium LTE software suite now includes version 2.1 of the Trillium S1AP protocol, which provides the interface between the eNodeB (LTE basestation) and the mobility management entity (MME).
Trillium S1AP joins the rest of the Trillium LTE protocols including Diameter, GTP, eGTP, LTE MAC, LTE PDCP, LTE RLC, LTE RRC and X2AP to provide network equipment providers with a comprehensive range of LTE-optimised protocol stacks for infrastructure supporting Home eNodeBs (LTE femtocells) all the way through to the Evolved Packet Core (EPC), including MME, serving gateway (SWG) and evolved packet data gateway (ePDG), among others. Trillium LTE protocols are available now and all support the March 2009 3GPP E-UTRA (LTE) specification.
All Trillium LTE protocol stacks are multithreaded and optimised for multicore/multithreaded processing architectures and include fast path modules for critical data plane protocols like eGTP. Each stack includes a reference application for the relevant LTE network interfaces including LTE-Uu, S1, S6, S7, S10 and X2.
